Washington County Sheriff's Office deputies spend their days protecting the lives and property of citizens, preventing crime, apprehending criminals, and enforcing laws and ordinances. With the added advantage of take-home squad cars, our deputies are ready to patrol the streets, investigate crimes, and work to strengthen community ties from the moment they put their uniforms on.

A variety of career-enhancing assignments await once proficiency in general patrol is achieved, including:

WCSO Deputy Sheriff-Patrol Officers work five days on, three days off, 9-hour days.
Shifts are as follows:
Day shift: 6:30 AM-3:30 PM
Afternoon Shift: 2:30 PM-11:30 PM
Night Shift: 10:30 PM-7:30 AM

2024 Salary Range $78,977.60 ($37.97per hour) - $106.516.80 ($51.21 per hour)

2025 Salary Range $81,931.20 - $110,510.40
Candidates with recent law enforcement and military police experience will be given lateral wage consideration, up to mid-point
