This position requires competency in detecting and investigating criminal activity; enforcement of local, state, and federal laws; preparation of accurate reports to help in follow-up investigation, criminal and civil court, and in department investigations. All assignments require rotating shifts since the Sheriff’s Office functions 24-hours a day, seven (7) days a week. Other duties may include serving civil papers, guarding prisoners, and assisting other agencies.
